George grew up on Peak’s Island in Maine. He began his professional career serving in the Air Force for 6 years, after which he went to college and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He leverage his experience and education to earn a commission in the United States Army, where he served active duty for another 17 years, living on the Vint Hill Base in Warrenton, to being stationed in Germany and England. After retiring from the Army, George transitioned his electrical engineering experience into the private sector working with his son Tom as HSHI as well as some consulting work for a U.S. Government Contractor going all over the world. George earned his Master Electrician license in 1995 and began serving as Home Sweet Home Improvements’ lead electrician.
George’s knowledge of electrical systems ranges from low voltage (think security systems, computers, home use, etc..) to large, triple phase industrial and agricultural equipment used in local wineries and commercial buildings. George’s past experience in leadership and management makes him a highly valued asset to the HSHI team and our family of clients. George has trained a number of HSHI professional field staff.
George likes to spend time with his kids, wife Diane, and his 4 grandchildren. George volunteers his time with Boy Scout Troop 600 and loves to hike and swim.
